The Bespoke Wedding Dress

I began my professional journey nearly 30 years ago - boy do I feel old! I started work in a couture bridal shop, designing, pattern cutting and fitting beautiful silk wedding dresses.

Couture bridal implies extravagance not to mention excessive price tags! This is so not the case. 

​

When I first started in bridal wear there were three options:

1. you bought from a shop

2. you had a dress that was made to measure, or

3. you wore an heirloom.

​

Today the made to measure option seems to be all but forgotten, hence why I have been adapting and customizing so many ready made dresses that have been purchased from shops.

Bespoke or made to measure bridal wear is another option to consider and it's not as stupidly expensive as you might think...
